Q 28. Maharaj ji, when should we switch from bhajan to simran?
Babaji - That was explained very clearly during initiation. Q 29. Master, do thoughts create karmas? Babaji - No, only if you put them into action. Thoughts lead to actions and then it is difficult to resist those thoughts - with the result we end up creating bad karma. Q 30. Master, there has been a lot of favoritism in giving seva? Babaji - How would you like to do? Can you do the selections? Q. No. Babaji - Brother, they are doing the best they can. If you cannot do it, please do not point fingers at others. They have given the seva to the people, who they think, according to their judgment, are capable of executing them.
Q 25. Master, if some one is in the room, how can we sit in the
shabad position? Babaji - Sit in simran position & listen to shabad. Q 26. Maharaj ji, I have never seen you so close. I had heard you are very beautiful. Babaji - It is better you leave it that way. You will break the illusion. Q 27. Maharaj ji, what if our faith disappears by the time we receive initiation? Babaji - Make it more stronger brother. It is all the more reason to wait & take initiation.
Q 22. Master, I am longing to have a close Darshan. Can you please
grant us? Babaji - There are 4000 people here. If I give close Darshan to everybody, what will happen to me? Moreover you should crave for Darshan inside, not physical Darshan. Your body has to be left behind when we die, and so do I. Q 23. Master, can you bless me and give me initiation? Babaji - We are all struggling souls on this earth. If we were not sinners, we would not be here. The day we are perfect we will go back to the lord. He will call us! Q 24. In Dera, many sewadars ask personal questions as to how many hours you meditate. Is it wrong? Babaji - Tell them: "None of your business" Q. Maharaj ji, is that not impolite? Babaji - You may just say: "It is personal. I do not wish to answer."
Q 19. Master, can you throw some light on free will and destiny
regarding meditation? Babaji - We have a limited free will. We have a choice to any action- for e.g. as to which foot to put in front, the left or the right, when we start walking after getting down from a car. But of course, we are bound by the reaction of that action. Q 20. Master, is mercy killing allowed in Santmat? Babaji - What you cannot give, you cannot take. If you cannot give a life, you have no right to take a life. Q 21. Master, is it right to give alms to beggars in India? Babaji - It is good to share with everyone what you have. If the money you give to beggars helps them to buy food-it good. But if he uses that money wrongly - to buy alcohol, then that karma we have to bear. So do what you feel comfortable with and use your judgment.
Q 16. Master, if we have temptation to do something wrong, how
should we avoid it? Babaji - Attend regular satsang. It is a constant reminder and a hammering that helps us to keep our ideas and minds straight. This can help you from falling into the traps of temptation. Q 17. Sat guru, who controls the world, Kal or Dayal? Babaji - Dayal! Kal is only under Dayal. In this world if you make an offence the government cannot do much. It is only the Judge who can punish or imprison you! Q 18. Master, I am in medical career & there we have to dissect so many animals. By doing this, do we create karmas? Babaji - Every breath that we take creates karma. Every action taken by us has to follow with the consequent reactions. You have to draw a line somewhere. Sant mat has told you what is right & wrong. It is up to you to decide.
Q 14. Master, our life span is not based on the number of days or
months we live but by the number of breaths we take. When we exercise, we breathe more heavily. So does that mean that our life span is getting reduced? Babaji - (Master smiling) No! Brother, just like we sometimes say: "It's raining cats & dogs." It does not literally mean cats & dogs. Q 15. Master, can a seeker achieve salvation? Babaji - We have to first find out completely about this path which we are intending to follow. When we are sick, we go to a doctor; he diagnoses and then gives us the appropriate medicine. At this moment, you have to fully understand Sant Mat and be sure that it is the right Path for you. And then you may get Initiation, do meditation and achieve your goal.
Q 11. Why do we get irritated?
Babaji - Are you perfect? Q. No! Babaji - Then why get irritated at others faults. Q 12. Maharaj ji. In the West people are so corrupt and yet they are economically advanced and are happier. Babaji - They may be economically advanced but not spiritually advanced. Q 13. Master, everything is based on TATVAS, what are they? Babaji - Every creation is made out of elements. Animals, birds and reptiles, etc., have 1, 2, 3, or 4 elements. Only human beings have all the 5 elements. It is the combination of these elements that make life on this earth.
Q8. Master, is it wrong to beat our children as a form of
punishment? Babaji - Brother, it is always better to explain and talk to your children with love and affection. Nothing has ever been gained by violence. Try to reason with your children and give them your point of view till they understand. What can be gained with love cannot be gained with beating or punishment. Q9. I am initiated by Maharaj Charan Singh and I want to see my Master. How much of Charan do we see in you? Babaji - I am not here to replace anyone. Your Master is yours. You are just here to have my Darshan. Q 10. Why does an honest man suffer the most? Babaji - Again it is your own conception. How do you know that it is their suffering? To them it might be and mean happiness.
Q4. Master, I am cooking meat for my family. Am I sinning?
Babaji - Sister you have to do your duty & create harmony in the house, you are just doing your duty. You need favorable surroundings to meditate. Continue your bhajan simran. Q5. Maharaj ji, if we stop killing animals, what will happen to the world? Babaji - If you have no right to give a life, you have no right to take a life. Q6. Master, can you tell us the difference between wishful thinking & destiny? Babaji - Wishful thinking is what you think, destiny is what takes place. Q7. Before my marriage, I dreamt of the type of boy I would like to marry and it came out to be true! What would you call that? Babaji - Call it whatever you want.
Q2. Why did the lord make this creation? Why did he make good &
bad karmas? And then we have to do the meditation because of our karmas. Why? Babaji - If you explain to a 4 yr. old child, how he was born will not understand. But when he grows old, in time, he will understand. When you reach that stage (Lord's Stage/Realization) by higher mediation, you can ask the Lord or you will automatically get the answers on your own... Q3. Master, is initiation enough to achieve salvation? Babaji - Initiation is like a bulldozer. If you do your meditation, you will go along with it. But if you do not, still you will be dragged along. This will cause you more pain and suffering. Initiation is just not enough. Action is important!

Q1. Maharaj ji, I sit in meditation. I used to have darshan & even listen to shabad. Then I had some problem. I told my friend, she advised me to write a letter to you. But I do not know how to write. So I told my entire problem to my friend and told her to write. Since that day, everything has stopped. Maharaj ji, it is not my fault; I do not know how to write. Babaji - Continue doing bhajan simran. Q. Maharaj ji, I do every day for 4-6 hours. Babaji - Have Patience and Continue with bhajan, simran
